How to Build a Doctor or Clinic Website: Booking, Data Rules and Being Found on Google

A practical guide to doctor and clinic websites: the pages you need, how online booking should work, data protection rules and local search in Turkey.

Patients search on Google first, then they call. The job of a doctor or clinic website is to build trust between those two steps and to make booking easy. What separates health sites from other business sites is that both the rules and the patient's expectations are more sensitive. This guide is for clinic managers and physicians: which pages you need, how booking should work, what to watch out for.

Pages a clinic website needs

  • Home: your specialty, your location and the way to book, all on the first screen. Who you treat, in one sentence.
  • Treatments and services: one page per treatment covering who it is for, how the process runs, frequently asked questions and a booking button. Searches for a treatment plus a location land on these pages.
  • Doctors and team: real photographs, titles, education and experience. Not stock images.
  • Patient reviews: show your Google reviews on the site and link back to the source. Never post invented reviews.
  • Booking and contact: phone, WhatsApp, form, map, opening hours, and a note on parking and transport.
  • Blog and patient information: answers to the questions patients actually ask. Trust and search traffic arrive together.
  • Privacy notice and cookie policy: required in Turkey, and reachable from the footer.

How online booking should work

The best booking system is the one the patient reaches in the fewest steps:

  1. A visible "Book an appointment" button on every page, and a fixed bar on mobile.
  2. A short form: name, phone, preferred day and time, an optional note. Long forms get abandoned.
  3. The request lands in the admin panel and sends an email or WhatsApp notification to the clinic; reception calls back the same day.
  4. Calendar integration if you want it: the patient picks from open slots and double bookings are blocked.
  5. An automatic confirmation the moment a request arrives: "We have your request, we will call you today."

Settle up front where a booking request lands and who answers it. The most expensive mistake is a request nobody replies to.

Data protection and health advertising rules in Turkey

  • KVKK: Turkey's personal data protection law. The name, phone number and any health note collected through a form are personal data, so you need a disclosure notice, an explicit consent checkbox and a clear statement of where the data is stored. Health data is a special category, so do not ask for medical detail you do not need on a web form.
  • Health promotion rules: advertising and promotion in healthcare is tightly limited in Turkey. Exaggerated promises, "the best", "guaranteed", discount and campaign language, and before and after photos all have to fit current regulation and the rules of your professional chamber. Check the current rules before you write the copy, and take advice where you need it.
  • Commercial electronic messages: if you plan to send information by SMS or WhatsApp, consent has to be registered in İYS, Turkey's central message permission system. Keep a separate consent checkbox for it on the form.

None of this is legal advice. Work from the current regulation and professional rules that apply to your clinic.

Six steps to being found on Google

  1. Verify your Google Business Profile, fill in category, address, phone and hours completely, and link the site.
  2. Keep the address and phone on the site identical to the profile. Local search rewards that consistency.
  3. One page per treatment, with the treatment name and the location reading naturally in the title.
  4. A frequently asked questions section, plus structured data for the FAQ and the organization details.
  5. Collect patient reviews steadily and reply politely to every one of them.
  6. Keep the site fast and mobile friendly. A slow health site loses the patient and the ranking together.

Why the admin panel matters

Treatment lists change, a new physician joins, opening hours are updated, a blog post goes up. The clinic should be able to do all of that without waiting for a developer. Treatments, team, reviews, blog posts and incoming booking requests belong in one panel, in one place.

Examples and the package

We have built health sites that the clinic runs from its own panel: a holistic health clinic, a urology and andrology specialist, a men's health clinic and dietitian sites. You can look through them on our doctor and clinic website page. Clinic sites ship as the Corporate Website package: custom design, treatment pages, a booking form, the admin panel and one year of technical support, $1,200 + VAT with the limited time 25% off.

To talk about your clinic's site, a free first call is enough. Tell us about the clinic or get in touch, and we will go through your current site and your Google profile together. We call you back the same day.
