What Should a Corporate Website Look Like? A 12 Point Checklist for 2026
The 12 traits of a good corporate website: first screen, speed, mobile, trust, SEO, management panel and measurement. Audit your site in 10 minutes.
Your corporate website is the face of your business in Google results and in your ads: customers look there before they pick up the phone. "Make it look good" is a fine goal but not enough, because the site has a job to do: build trust and start a conversation. The 12 points below are the measurable minimum for a corporate site in 2026. Audit your own site against them, or put them in the scope of the quote when you commission a new one.
1. Make the first screen say what you do and how to reach you
Visitors decide in 3 seconds. Three things should be visible without scrolling: what you do (one sentence), who you do it for, and how to get in touch (WhatsApp, phone, form). Skip the slogan and write something concrete: not "a dental clinic in Istanbul" but "implants and orthodontics in your neighborhood, same day appointments".
2. Make it look right on a phone
Most traffic is mobile. The menu should open one handed, buttons should be big enough for a thumb, text should be readable without zooming. A site that looks good on a desktop and breaks on a phone burns your ad budget.
3. Open in 2-3 seconds
Speed keeps visitors and affects your Google ranking. Compress images, drop plugins you do not need, and keep the server close to the market you serve. Sites assembled from a ready made theme plus a pile of plugins usually lose here.
4. Show real people on the About page
Real photos of your team with names and roles, not stock images. Do not say "our expert staff", show the staff. Trust arrives with a name and a face.
5. Give each service its own page, in concrete terms
One page per service: who it is for, what it covers, how the process runs, and the price or the logic behind the price. That gives customers clarity and gives Google a separate door into your site for every service.
6. Keep references live and verifiable
Instead of a row of logos, show the work: a link, a screenshot, a result. Display your Google reviews on the site and link them back to Google. Avoid praise blocks that read as invented.
7. Put contact two taps away from every page
A fixed WhatsApp or call button, phone number, address and opening hours in the footer, and a short form (name and phone number is enough). Test once a month that the form really lands in your inbox.
8. Add a blog or guide section
Write the answers to the questions customers ask you: what sets the price, how the process works, which option to choose. This content reaches people on Google who need what you do but are not searching for your name.
9. Build the SEO groundwork from day one
A meaningful title and description on every page, a clean heading hierarchy (one H1), readable URLs, alt text on images, a sitemap and a robots file, structured data (organization, service, FAQ). None of this should be sold later as an "SEO package"; it belongs in the build.
10. Make your Google Business Profile, Instagram and site confirm each other
The address, phone number and business name should match exactly everywhere. Link from the site to Google Maps and from the profile back to the site. That consistency makes a real difference in local search.
11. Have a management panel and keep the content in your hands
You should be able to update prices, services, staff, announcements and blog posts yourself. A site without a panel goes stale in a few months, and a site that is out of date does not inspire trust. Make sure the source code and access details belong to you.
12. Cover the basics of measurement and security
SSL (the padlock), Google Analytics and Search Console set up, form submissions and WhatsApp clicks tracked as events, plus the privacy notice and cookie text required by Turkey's personal data protection law, KVKK. If you plan to run ads, connect the Meta Pixel at the start too.
